=========================================

For preparing our next generation to the rapid development of modern world, STEM / STEAM education are being promoted in our Primary and Secondary schools. Hong Kong, being an important International Maritime Centre in the region, integrating maritime industry with STEM / STEAM could bring the activity closer to our daily life; energetic and to be more interesting to the students.

In order to arouse students’ awareness to maritime engineering and ship building, to apply the elements of STEM / STEAM and group dynamics in ship building, and to encourage students to generate innovative designs for safe and affordable vessels, The Hong Kong Institute of Marine Technology (HKIMT), jointly co-organize “The STEM x Ship Design Competition” with the Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School, Microsoft Hong Kong, Hong Kong Education City and AiTLE.
