Professional Development
- The strategy focuses on Professional Development by promoting EdTech policies, standards, and best practices, with an emphasis on open frameworks. This involves sharing expert insights through councils and committees to advise policy-making and publishing professional guidelines and reports. Furthermore, it aims to build the capacity of educators and IT professionals through seminars, forums, and collaborative publications, while providing direct policy advice.
Talent Cultivation
- A key pillar is Talent Cultivation, which aims to foster understanding and adoption of EdTech among students and educators through conferences, workshops, and site visits. It specifically encourages youth to pursue IT paths by leveraging established HKCS initiatives like the iLEAP mentorship programme, FACE Club, and the CIO
Board. Promoting membership among students and educators is also a priority to build stronger communities and create more opportunities for exchange.
Collaboration in Industry and Community Development
- The approach drives Industry and Community Development by positioning HKCS as a central exchange platform to unite service providers, academia, schools, and investors. It utilises its Specialist and Industry Groups to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations that develop practical EdTech solutions. A crucial part of this is encouraging EdTech providers to become corporate members, thereby strengthening industry linkages and creating direct opportunities for collaboration with educational institutions.
