Organised by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (“FSTB”), implemented by Vocational Training Council (“VTC”) and co-organised by Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (“Cyberport”), the competition is a pioneer in promoting both InsurTech and the insurance technology to students in Hong Kong. It aims at:
- raising students’ awareness on career opportunities and career path in the insurance industry
- attracting young people to join the insurance industry
- developing the employability and problem-solving skills in insurance and related technologies
- inspiring innovation in InsurTech and insurance industry
- Eligibility
- Secondary Division: Full time S4-6 students in the 2018/19 academic year
- Tertiary Division: Full-time students aged 18 or above and studying in a Hong Kong tertiary institution

- Contestants will need to:
- develop an InsurTech solution prototype to solve designated cases
- pitch the idea to judges in English/Cantonese and answer follow-up questions

- First runner-up (1 team) : HKD 20,000

- Tertiary Division
- Winner (1 team) : HKD 100,000
- First runner-up (1 team) : HKD 50,000
- Second runner-up (1 team) : HKD 20,000
- Merit (2 teams) : HKD 10,000 per team
- The winning teams in the Tertiary Division will also win fast track interview opportunities for the Cyberport Entrepreneurship Programmes (i.e. Cyberport Creative Micro Fund and Cyberport Incubation Programme).
