AiTLE Workshop : CIT Coursework Marking Sharing Workshop (Cancelled)
It is the first time AiTLE try to have activity in school day night ... seems inconvenient for members to join.
Due to the low participation, therefore the activity is cancelled.
The deadline of CIT Coursework mark submission is coming (8 March, 2010). Most of the teachers already collected students coursework for marking. In order to let teachers know more about the marking practice of other school and also know more about the moderation involvement, and points-to-note during marking. AiTLE will organize a "CIT Coursework Marking Sharing Workshop". Below is the detail of the workshop :
Date : 2010-02-04 (Thur)
Time : 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Venue : Room 143B, IVE-Haking Wong (702 Lai Chi Kok Road, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon --- 5 minutes walk from Cheung Sha Wan MTR Exit B)
Fee : Free
Remark : Participants please upload a coursework collected from your student so that AiTLE can print them out for marking practice during the workshop. |

AiTLE 2009 Activities
Dear all,
After our 2008 AGM, our Exco has met together to propose and discuss the AiTLE activities for 2009. Below are the proposed dates and themes of the activities. Please feel free to propose, recommend and comment on our proposal so that we can arrange the most suitable activities for IT in Education of Hong Kong.

2009-05-09 (Sat) WD - Microsoft Technology Summit (COMPLETED)

2009-05-16 (Sat) AM - 出題 Seminar (COMPLETED)
We have invited speakers from HKEAA to talk about the points to note in drafting Exam paper, so as to create an test / exam paper similar to public exam one.
2009-05-23 (Sat) AM - Cisco Mini-Conference (COMPLETED)
A seminar related to technology update of networking skills, AiTLE is one of the co-organizers / supporting organizations.
2009-05-29,30 (Fri, Sat) WD - EDB IT in Education Symposium (COMPLETED)
A symposium leaded by EDB about IT in Education, more information later by EDB. AiTLE is one of the co-organizers / supporting organizations.
2009-06-06 (Sat) AM - WebSAMS Seminar (COMPLETED)
A Seminar related to upgrading WebSAMS Server
2009-06-13 (Sat) AM - Teaching Java and MySQL in Schools (COMPLETED)
Supporting teachers in teaching NSS ICT Programming and Databases
2009-06-20 (Sat) AM - Windows Server 2008 & Virtualization in schools (COMPLETED)
A seminar related to the points to notes about the deployment of Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 in schools.
2009-08-25 (Tue) PM - Cisco Networking Skill Competition (COMPLETED)
A competition related to networking skills, AiTLE is one of the co-organizers / supporting organizations.
2009-10/11-xx (Sat) AM - Use of Virtual Machine in School (Similar topic already launched in June)
A seminar relate to the use of Virtual Machine (e.g. VMWARE) in schools
2009-12-12 (Sat) AM - AiTLE AGM & Lesson Substitution Program Workshop (COMPLETED)
AiTLE AGM, and a workshop introducing a Lesson Substitution Program written by Mr. Chiu Kam Wa
2010-01-xx (Sat) AM - CIT Coursework marking sharing workshop
A workshop that allow CIT teachers to share and practice the marking of CIT courework with teachers of other schools ... so as to know more about the practices of other schools.
P.S. Please noted that activities proposed will be subjected to changes. Also, new ideas are welcomed.

New Functions on AiTLE web sites
Dear all,
In order to enchance the function of AiTLE websites, our web site will implement 2 new functions : CALENDAR and NEWS.
The NEWS function is launched, you can see in AiTLE web site now, there are some posting related to IT in Ed. For the posting, mainly involve the following categories:
| (1) News about AiTLE --- using the logo : |  | | | | | (2) IT activities organised by EDB --- using the logo : |  | | | | | (3) WebSAMS Related News --- using the logo : |  | | | | | (4) New Technology --- using the logo : |  | | | | | (5) Misc Workshop or Seminar News --- using the logo : |  |
We are now in the stage of testing the NEWS function and our target is members can post news to AiTLE website so as to share with other teachers ... more information later.
For the CALENDAR function, it is now in the internal testing stage, will make it public for public testing once it is done. |
