2016-06-10 - IT Essential Course

We are glad to have Cisco support in providing their Networking Academy IT Essential (ITE) Instructor Training. Below is the detail :

  • Objectives :
    • Provide opportunity for teachers’ professional development
    • Provide opportunity to network with Cisco representatives and IT professionals, Instructor trainers from different background
    • Provide opportunity for teachers to join as Networking Academy instructors and use quality NetSpace teaching materials for free

 

  • Training Dates (Venue TBC)
    • 2016-06-27 (MON) [1430 – 1730] 
      • In person session (including netacad orientation, practical training etc)
    • 2016-06-27 ~ 2016-07-10
      • Webex training session
    • 2016-07-08 (FRI) [1430 – 1800]
      • In person session (Practical Final Exam)
    • 2016-07-08 ~ 2016-07-10
      • Webex training session
    • 2016-07-11 (MON) [1430 – 1730]
      • In person session (Theory Final Exam)

 

  • Important Notice
    • Timeline :
      • Registration Deadline: 2016-06-19 (Sun)
      • Notification of acceptance to the training : 2016-06-21 (TUE)
      • Return of completed Principal Nomination Form : 2016-06-23 (THUR)
      • Start of ITE Instructor Training : 2016-06-27 (MON)
    • Due to packed schedules of the trainings, all participants please ensure that you take time to go through the course materials in advance of the training as a preparation.
      • NetSpace account would be set up for your preparation when your registration confirmed
    • All new Academy instructors are required to complete the Academy Orientation course.
      • They may enroll in the self-paced Academy Orientation course https://1040239.netacad.com/enroll/7A898M
    •  The passing requirement of each of the trainings:
      • 3 sessions of in-person session + 
      • 2 Real time webex training session +
      • 75% of total marks of Practical Final Exam +
      • 75% of total marks of Theory Final Exam
    • FYI: ITE has 8 half day sessions in-total
    • Please remember to complete the Principal or Department Head Nomination Form

      • 3rd Priority : Non-Teaching staff and have attended The Cisco Annual Conference 2016 (at 2016-06-11)
      • 4th Priority : Non-teaching staff, and have not attended The Cisco Annual Conference 2016 (at 2016-06-11)
