AiTLE & HKEdCity is going to introduce the brand new “HKEdCity Account Integration with WebSAMS Partnership Scheme”, which allows students’ HKEdCity accounts update with the school WebSAMS system. Under the Scheme, schools only need to update the students’ data in its WebSAMS system. HKEdCity’s School Account Administration system will then add, renew or delete student accounts accordingly, which greatly ease schools’ administrative burden.
And I think you have also heard about “WaaSchool Project” (WiFi-as-a-Service School Partnership Project). The project was launched in 2013 jointly by AiTLE and HKEdCity, providing schools with a WiFi network and authenticating service, to facilitate the implementation of eLearning on campus. As of August 2014, over 100 schools in Hong Kong have adopted the subscription model of WaaSchool for campus WiFi connection. The project provided solutions on infrastructure and technical issues, letting teachers have more time on teaching and utilising eLearning tools, thus enhancing teaching effectiveness.
Time flies, the 1.5 years WaaSchool Project is now come to the end. To celebrate this, and to let school know more update of AiTLE & HKEDCITY plan in IT in Education and e-Learning, A “Celebration and Sharing session” will be held on 2015-07-13 to look ahead for the extensive implementation of campus WiFi.
