Office Application skills (especially Word Processing & Spreadsheet)  is a MUST for nowadays people no matter in study or in work. In NSS ICT, knowing Office Application Skills is also a MUST as is included in the C&A Guide.

In order to let arouse students interest and knowledge in Office Application Skills, and let students participate more so as to enhance their ability in Office Application Skills. AiTLE + IVE + Microsoft + Welkin will launch “Microsoft Office Skills Competition 2015″ at 9th May 2015. This year is the second year that we have this competition, and in order to enhance student ability not only in Office Skills, we have also arrange Multimedia Skills competition (Image Editing and Web Authoring) during the Skills Competition this year.     • Scenario based questions (Practical works)

      • Adobe PhotoShop CS6 and Dreamweaver CS6
  • Scope
    • Microsoft Office Skills Stream
      • HKDSE ICT knowledge re Office Application (Word Processing & Spreadsheet) ~ about 60%
      • Microsoft Office 2010 interface questions ~ about 20%
      • Microsoft MOS knowledge ~ about 20%
    • Multimedia Skills Stream
      • HKDSE ICT knowledge re Image Editing and Web Authoring ~ about 50%
      • ACA knowledge re Image Editing ~ about 25%
      • ACA knowledge re Web Authoring ~ about 25%

 

Support to schools:

  • Training Session for Students : In order to release the burden of teacher(s), training sessions on Office Skills (Word & Excel 2010) and Multimedia Skills (PhotoShop & Dreamweaver CS6) for student about will be arranged as below:

      • Time : 09:30 – 1300 (Refreshment will be provided)

      • P.S. Teacher are welcome to join at their own availability
  • Free Training Centre registration and trial license for accessing sample MOS Question
    • In order to let students have better preparation, the first 20 registered schools if registered as MOS Testing Centre (free application), will have 1 free Centiprep (Office 2010 English Version) license during the competition preparation period (till competition date) for students to try on (only cover MOS core exam but not expert exam)

Registration:

  • Even though unlimited number of students can be registered to join the competition, however, in order to cater more schools’ participation, only the students with priority 1 & 2 of @ institute / school will be auto-accepted before registration is full. More students (according to the priority indicated during registration) can be accepted if either the responses from schools are low or the venue can accommodate more students.
